Custom SO Scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 & 2024

Scenario Overview

Tassili Run 01 is a high-speed desert canyon challenge located in the massive Tassili n’Ajjer plateau, south of Illizi, Algeria.
This scenery adds smoke markers only — no airport, no runway, no objects — designed for multi player flights and fast terrain-following navigation.

Two smoke pairs define the route:

• Start Gate: Red smoke on the right and left
• End Gate: Red smoke on the right and left

The run follows natural dry riverbeds and steep canyon walls in one of the most dramatic landscapes of the Sahara.

Mission Objectives

• Enter the Tassili canyon system south of Illizi.
• Identify the first smoke pair marking the start of the run.
• Follow the canyon at low altitude and high speed.
• Maintain terrain masking and avoid ridge crossings.
• Pass through the final smoke pair marking the end.
• Optionally reverse the run or regroup for formation.

Scenery Details

  • Fast Jets: MiG-29, Su-27, F-18, F-16, Yak-130, MB-339
  • Helicopters: H125, H145
  • Bush Planes: PC-6, Caravan (fun but challenging)

Notes & Recommendations

• Some canyon turns are sharp — anticipate terrain changes early.
• Ideal for multi player groups practicing low-level flight.
• Works in both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
• No performance impact (only smoke FX assets).

Installation Instructions

1. Download the scenery package.
2. Extract it into your MSFS Community folder:
   • MS Store/Game Pass:
     C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
   • Steam:
     C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community
   • Custom installation: Use your personal Community folder path.
3. Launch the simulator and enjoy the run!
